Okay, so, a while back, I saw this Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG at the official flagship store. Yeah, that fancy thing. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? But I reckon it’s just a purse. Anyway, I thought, “Why not try to remake it?” So, that’s what I did.

First off, I went and studied the bag. Looked at it real close, took a bunch of pictures, and tried to figure out how it was put together. This here bag, the YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG, it’s a good one. I seen it around, and lemme tell ya, it’s somethin’ else. It’s got that fancy name, Yves Saint Laurent, and it’s made real nice. They have classic designs that remain stylish over time, making them a lasting fashion choice. YSL handbags typically hold their value well, making them a good investment in luxury fashion and they are carefully made with attention to small details.

Then, I went out and got me some materials. Found some leather that looked pretty close to the original, and some hardware that matched up good. I even found a place that sells these little metal squares that look just like the ones on the real bag.

Next, I started cutting and sewing. Now, I ain’t no professional, but I’ve been doing this for a while, so I know my way around a sewing machine. I took my time, made sure all the pieces fit together just right, and tried to copy the original as best as I could.

  • First, cut the leather according to the pattern I drafted.
  • Then, sew the main body pieces together.
  • Attach the hardware, that was a bit tricky, gotta admit.
  • Sew in the lining, making sure it’s nice and smooth.
  • Lastly, attach the strap and admire your work!

After a few days of work, I finally finished it. And you know what? It turned out pretty darn good! It ain’t an exact copy, of course, but it’s close enough to fool most folks. I even showed it to my wife, and she thought it was the real deal!

The Result

So, there you have it. My little project of remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. It was a fun challenge, and I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. Maybe I’ll try to remake some other fancy bags in the future. Who knows?
