Well, let me tell you, I saw this thing, this watch, they call it the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just a watch, you know? Makes it look all dark and, well, like the dark side of the moon, I guess. It’s all black, that’s for sure, and they say it’s a good watch. But still, it’s just a watch.
They say this copy OMEGA watch is gonna cost a whole heap of money. Like, more money than I’ve seen in a long time. They say $12,000. Imagine that! Twelve thousand dollars for a watch that tells time, same as any other watch. It is too expensive. But folks, they like these fancy things, I guess. They are crazy. For buying that OMEGA watch that’s been to the moon or a copy, it’s all the same.

There’s places you can buy these things, these fancy watches. They call ’em “luxury” watches. Like they’re somethin’ extra special. They got all kinds of brands, like Rolex and Breitling and Omega, all these names I can barely say. They say folks go to these places just to buy these watches. Must be nice to have that kinda money, huh? I just want to buy a good copy one, it is much cheaper.
This one place, they call it “Luxury Bazaar.” Sounds like a place where you’d buy fancy rugs or somethin’. But no, it’s watches. They been sellin’ ’em for a long time, they say. Over 20 years! That’s a long time to be sellin’ somethin’ that just tells time. But people like ’em, I guess. They think that this OMEGA watch copy is also good. They are all crazy.

But it’s still just a watch. It tells time, same as the one I got for five bucks down at the general store. But I guess if you want to feel like you went to the moon, or something, then maybe it is good to buy a copy. But I don’t know, it’s a lot of money for somethin’ that just tells time, don’t you think?
They got a number for this watch, too. 3869, they call it. That’s the copy OMEGA Speedmaster. Just another number to me. They say it’s like the 3861, but with that laser stuff to make it look like the moon. Fancy stuff. But it is just a copy, remember that. And you know what? That’s the best part, that it is a copy. That means it costs less.

But if you like that kinda thing, then I guess it’s alright. Just remember, it’s just a watch. And there’s plenty of other watches out there that tell time just as good, and they don’t cost nearly as much. You can go buy some other things with the money, you know. Maybe a new pair of shoes, or a good meal. Or maybe just save it for a rainy day. That is my advice.
