Well, let me tell you, I seen this here picture of a watch, they call it the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon”. Fancy name for a watch, ain’t it? Sounds like somethin’ out of one of them space movies my grandkids watch. They say it’s a copy, so it ain’t the real deal, but it sure looks like it.
This watch, it’s all black and shiny. And it’s got some yellow on it too, like a bumblebee. Makes it stand out, I reckon. They say it’s s’posed to be like the moon, the dark side they call it. I ain’t never been to the moon, but I seen pictures. This watch, it’s got all them little marks on it, like the moon’s got them holes and bumps. This OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8, that’s what it’s called again, looks like something special.
They’s talkin’ ’bout some fellas, Borman, Lovell, and Anders, who went up there in a rocket ship, way back when. They was lookin’ at the moon, sayin’ it looked like a big ol’ sand pile. Like the one my grandkids play in, all messy and whatnot. Then there was that Armstrong fella, and that Aldrin. First ones to walk on the moon, they say. Big deal, I guess. Now, this here watch, it ain’t made of metal, like you’d think. It’s made of somethin’ called ceramic. Sounds like them fancy plates my daughter-in-law collects.
