Alright, so I wanted to try somethin’ new and kinda fancy. I decided to remake that Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. Yeah, that super famous, expensive brand, YSL. I saw some folks online talkin’ about these “dupes,” bags that look like the real deal but don’t cost ya an arm and a leg. Got me thinkin’, why not give it a shot?
First things first, I had to figure out what this JUNE BOX BAG even looked like. I ain’t exactly a fashion expert, ya know? I went to that Saint Laurent official online store, browsed through their fancy handbags and stuff. Found the JUNE BOX, looked at all the pictures. It’s a small, kinda round bag, like those fancy ladies carry. Made of leather, with that shiny YSL logo in the front.
Then came the hard part – actually makin’ the thing. I got myself some leather, similar color to the real one. Not sure if it’s “genuine leather” like they use, but it looked good enough to me. The real challenge was that YSL logo. I found some metal pieces, shaped ’em as close as I could to the logo, and stuck ’em on the front.

Gettin’ the Materials
I went to a local store, they have all sorts of craft stuff. Picked up some leather, thread, and a few other bits and bobs. The guy there helped me pick out somethin’ that looked like what they use for fancy bags.

Cut, Sew, Repeat
I cut the leather into the shapes I needed, then started sewin’. My hands ain’t used to this kinda work, but I managed. Took me a while, but I got the main part of the bag together. It was lookin’ like a box, alright.

That Pesky Logo
This was the trickiest part. I tried a few different things, even considered just leavin’ it off. But it wouldn’t be a YSL bag without that logo, right? I ended up using some metal pieces, glued ’em together, and hoped for the best.
After a lot of sweat, and maybe a few curse words, I finally finished it. It wasn’t perfect, mind you. The stitching was a bit wonky in places, and the logo wasn’t an exact match. But you know what? It looked pretty darn close to that YSL JUNE BOX BAG. And it sure didn’t cost me a fortune like buyin’ the real one would’ve.
I carried it around for a few days, felt kinda proud of myself. It’s not every day you remake a designer bag, right? So, that’s my story of how I remade the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It was a fun little project, and I learned a thing or two along the way. Maybe I’ll try makin’ another one sometime, who knows?
