Okay, let me tell you about this whole Rolex thing.
So, I’ve been seeing these High imitation Rolex watches all over the place. They’re on the TV, they’re on the street, everyone’s wearing them. It’s crazy. And you know what’s even crazier? The prices! It’s all about look these days I think.
I wanted to see what the hype was about, especially with this one, the No-Date Black Submariner. It seems the original ones, they’re pretty heavy. I read somewhere that the real Submariners are about 40 millimeters, which is about 1.57 inches, that sounds right. The Black Sub, they always come with no date. And it’s an original order!
First, I went to check out the official store. You know, just to get a feel for the real deal. I picked one up, felt the weight, looked at the details. It felt good, I gotta say. Solid, you know?

Then, I started looking at these High imitation ones. And let me tell you, it’s a jungle out there. I mean, they look so much like the real thing, it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes. I saw a bunch of these, and I started to notice some things, small things.
The Weight
The real ones, they have a certain heft to them, you can feel it when you hold them. Some of these High imitation ones, they’re lighter. Not all of them, but some. But this one, this No-Date Black Submariner, this one felt just right. Same weight, I’m pretty sure. I don’t have any tools to measure that weight, I just use my hands.
The Look
I looked real close at the details. The bezel, the numbers, the little crown logo, even the way the hands moved. This High imitation, it was pretty darn close. I mean, you’d really have to know what you’re looking for to spot the differences. I am not a professional guy, I can not tell the differences between them.
In the end, I got myself one of these High imitation No-Date Black Submariners. And you know what? I’m happy with it. It looks great, it feels great, and I didn’t have to sell my car to get it. It’s not about fooling anyone, it’s about having something nice, something that looks good on your wrist. And this one, it does the job. It is a nice watch. I wear it all the time now, and I get compliments on it all the time. People think it’s the real deal, and I just smile and say thanks. It’s my little secret, you know?
So, if you’re thinking about getting one of these, just do your research, check them out in person if you can, and don’t get ripped off. But most importantly, get something that you like, something that makes you feel good. That’s what it’s all about, right?
